Berryhill Update

October 2011

We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to look at our new website www.conquering-giants.com where you can see photos taken over a period of 38 years of ministry. We will be uploading photos for weeks to come, so visit often. If you register, you may leave comments on photos and it will give us a record of your visit. Soon we will begin adding photos to our FACEBOOK pages, also (JAMES BERRYHILL; JEANNE BERRYHILL). We hope to see most of you while we are in the States these 3 months. God´s Grace to you all.

February 2011

In February we made a trip home to Texas to spend time with our families, and especially James' dad who has been suffering from Parkinsons for the last few years. We were in the States for a brief time because we had to return to Colombia to renew our visas, which we were unable to do here, because we lacked some papers we needed.

We arrived back in Colombia on a Friday, February 18, after traveling all night. On Saturday we got word that James' dad was worse, and they were moving him to the hospital hospice. They didn't think he would live more than a few days. So on Monday after trying to get our paperwork done without results, we flew back to the US to see James' dad for the last time. We arrived on Wednesday, February 23, (Jim's Birthday). James was able to be with his dad, Allen, for several days in the hospital before he went to be with the Lord. We are grateful that James' dad had a couple of pretty good days to be with the family before he went into the hospital. He died on Sunday, February 27, and was buried Wednesday, March 2. He was a good father to his three step-sons and a very kind and gentle man. We will miss him.

On Thursday, March 3, we made a trip to Houston to renew our visas at the consulate there. Our passports arrived on Wednesday the following week with visas that are good for almost 2 years (PTL!). We hope to be able to apply for resident visas when the renewal comes up again.

We appreciate the prayers from those of you who knew about James´dad and the visa situation, and will be very grateful for continued prayers for James' family especially his mom.

Much love to you all,

Jeanne for the Berryhills
